02. The Science

Gel Coat vs.
Clear Coat.

Automotive paint is thin and sealed with clear coat. Marine gel coat is thick, porous, and unsealed.

Why boats chalk: UV rays dry out the pores of the gel coat, causing the surface to turn into a dead, white powder (oxidation).

How we fix it: We sand or compound the dead layer off to reach the healthy gelcoat underneath, then seal it right away with a marine ceramic coating. Left bare, it oxidizes again within weeks.

Pricing Variables

"Starting At" pricing is based on LOA (Length Overall) and standard beam. Excessive oxidation, mold, interior condition, or cabin cruisers with significant surface area will adjust the price.

Mobile Service?

What Each Step Involves

Premium marine wash

Marine-grade cleaners take off salt, algae and grime and help protect the surface from the next round, on freshwater and saltwater boats.

Interior and cabin detailing

Cabins and decks live with moisture, which brings mold and mildew. Upholstery cleaning, woodwork polishing and a deep clean of every corner leave the interior fresh.

Teak cleaning

Teak decking is hard to keep clean. Specialized equipment and techniques lift the dirt and grime out of the wood.

Gelcoat and paint decontamination

Water spots, algae and rust come off the gelcoat with marine-safe products, getting the hull ready for polishing or a coating.

Gelcoat and paint correction

Marine-grade compounds and polishes remove swirls, oxidation and scratches and bring back the boat's original shine.

Marine coatings

Two-year and three-year marine coatings repel water, resist UV damage and cut down on dirt sticking to the hull.
